Courses at University of Miami, Department of Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering
Introduce the students to the subject area, highlight the fundamentals and demonstrate via case studies and applications a few examples of global challenges addressed. These could include addressing climate change, mitigating and reducing the impacts of pandemics, and creating habitats in outer space.
Courses taught at Washington University in St Louis, Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering
FALL: Aerosol Science and Engineering (Env/ChE/ME/CE – 518)
This course will introduce key concepts of aerosol science and engineering and the fundamentals of particulate matter transport in environmental and engineered systems.
FALL/SPRING: Transport Phenomenon II (Env/ChE – 368)
This course introduces the principles governing the transport of heat and mass to the students. The emphasis will be on the translation of a physical transport process into a mathematical model and then solving the same based on a set of simplifications. Particle Transport Processes. Applications to engineered systems will be provided.
